Developers & documentation

Build the Next Generation of Data-Driven Applications.

Open protocols, a documented plan language and tests you can rerun. Connect with the PostgreSQL tools and drivers you already have, over the simple protocol or prepared statements.

Quick start

From Idea to a Verified
Query in Minutes.

The five steps below are exactly what the repository's end-to-end test does.

1Get a token

An RS256 token with your tenant, clearance and roles, sent as the PostgreSQL password.

PGPASSWORD=$TOKEN

2Connect

psql or pgx to the gateway; it verifies the token and so does the node.

psql -h 127.0.0.1 -p 45432 -U app -d uf

3Create & write

Tables need a primary key; columnar with WITH (storage = columnar).

INSERT INTO events VALUES (…)

4Query

Filters, joins, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, LIMIT. Every plan verified first.

SELECT … GROUP BY status

5Verify

Compare answers with your current engine; the e2e test compares with DuckDB.

Clients

Drivers and SDKs

Anything that speaks the PostgreSQL protocol connects now, with or without parameters. ORMs additionally need the pg_catalog tables, which are the next gateway item.

psql

Tested end to end.

Built

Go pgx

Tested end to end, simple protocol and prepared statements.

Built

Python, Node.js, Java, Rust

Their PostgreSQL drivers speak the protocols that are built; not yet in the test suite.

In progress

Native SDKs and CLI

A management CLI and typed SDKs follow the managed service.

Planned

Early access includes the test scripts.

Ask for a hosted database and the end-to-end suite to run against it.
